Really, I was bored one day and I remembered my mom had shown me some dried herbs she had stashed away in the cupboard. A few drops of oil to them and the piece makes my room smell amazing! It''s a nice spicy and warm mixture, good for the chillier seasons, I think.

    Yield: about a cup
Prep Time: About ten minutes, five if you're fast

    Blending Procedure:

    1. Take as much of the leaves and flowers off the sprigs as you can, maybe breaking pieces off instead for decorative purposes. Discard the stalks and place leaves and flowers in a large bowl.

    2. Add the rose petals and shake the bowl to mix them with the lavender. Do the same with the chamomile (if you have stalks you may put few in, too, again, for decoration) and cloves.

    3. Drop in oils to taste -- add one at a time and mix a bit so you don't add too much. Make sure they aren''t overpowering. Shake yet again to mix.

    4. Pour the mixture preferably into a clear bowl, and place it someplace in your home where people can enjoy the aroma. Stir now and then to refresh. Add a drop of oil now and again to refresh as well.
